Prior to holding public office, Councilwoman Estimé-Irvin established a notable career in both business and nonprofit leadership. She currently serves as Managing Partner of Estimé & Irvin Consulting, LLC and previously led E & I Associates, a South Florida staffing and recruiting firm with over 400 employees, as its President and CEO focusing on bridging the employment gaps. Her early involvement in nonprofit leadership and political campaigns deepened her dedication to advocacy and equity.
Councilwoman Estimé-Irvin is widely recognized for her relentless efforts to uplift youth, women, and minority-owned businesses. She is most known for her strong advocacy for Youth & Women Empowerment, Minority Business Development, Transportation, and Technology, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and innovation. She sponsored an ordinance to create the City of North Miami Youth Council to cultivate future leaders and remains deeply engaged with initiatives that promote inclusive growth and opportunity. After 95 years of the city incorporation, Councilwoman Estimé-Irvin sponsored an ordinance to establish the Commission for Women to foster equality of opportunity for all women.
Locally in Miami-Dade County, Councilwoman Estimé-Irvin is a three-time appointee to the Miami-Dade County League of Cities, where she served on the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Development Committee. She is an active board member of the Miami-Dade Beacon Council with the mission to drive a more sustainable, competitive economy for North Miami.
Her leadership extends far beyond the city and county boundaries and throughout Florida. Councilwoman Estimé-Irvin is very active with the Florida Leagues of Cities and serves on the Intergovernmental Relations, Mobility and Emergency Management, Federal Action Strike Team (FAST), and Advocacy committees. She also serves as a Board of Trustee on the Florida Municipal Insurance Trust. She is a proud member of the Florida Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials (FBC-LEO).
At the national level, she is also the Chairwoman of the National Haitian American Elected Official Network (NAHEON). She serves on the National League of Cities, contributing to the Transportation and Infrastructure Services, Women in Municipal Government, and the National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials (NBC-LEO) committee.
Her past service includes leadership roles with the North Miami PAL, North Miami Personnel Board, North Miami Senior Foundation, North Miami Chamber of Commerce, North Miami Educational Foundation and Haitian American Chambers of Commerce, demonstrating her deep-rooted commitment to civic engagement and institutional excellence. As a mother and a small business owner, she leads by example, instilling values of resilience, service, and integrity in her son, Patrick Irvin, Jr.
