Born on July 5, 1957, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Delerme moved to Boston at age 14 and later earned a BFA in Motion Pictures with a minor in Television Broadcasting from the University of Miami.
He began his career at Haiti’s National Television (TNH), where he created “En Studio” and the live festival series “TNH en Plen Air.” He later launched the iconic sitcom “Languichatte au 20e Siècle” and directed his first feature film, “Founérailles” (1985), followed by acclaimed titles such as Les Gens de Bien, Infidélité, Pour l’Amour de Suzie, and Dyab Baba.
In 1990, Delerme founded PVS Antenne 16, Haiti’s first private TV station, and PVS Studios, a key hub for film production and distribution in Haiti and Miami.
A mentor to many, he continues to inspire new generations of Haitian filmmakers while running Palenet Cellular with his wife, Esthe Delerme.
